Well it didn't take long for an example to be made of someone. Boots Retail Ireland are the first company in the EU to be prosecuted under the new WEEE regulations. The UK regulations are in the process of being rolled out and it's a pound to the proverbial penny that the Environment Agency will be looking for a high profile example to put through the UK courts.
